==================================I thought I had found a real fantastic place to park, isolated, beside the water and plenty of space I guess I should have known better, -No Camper vans- after all this is Kerikeri and I have noticed over the years of coming here a change in attitude toward camper vans and especially freedom camping. Kerikeri was once extremely productive and due to that developed a very marketable name. Now other areas are producing fine fruit and the current Kerikeiians are left wondering where it went. A local told me that the orange exterior has now got a chocolate inside, and new businesses are wanting to ride on the name with no new effort from the nouve Kerikeriian. But how could I comment, considering from whence I come.
A common jingle was all they could come up with, somehow I don't think its going to work

Hi Gary Hope you are continuing to enjoy your
travels
Well we finally opened the gardens to the public
yesterday ( whew! HARD work) and we have had our first visitors and feedback.
They loved it.
So here are some photos as promised. I haven't
reduced them in case you need them in the original size for the website. Let me
know if there are any problems.
The gardens have been re-named Taraire Park and
Water Gardens (Aubrey's request) Despite being in the 'low cost' section of the
NZMCA book, we are an overnight free POP to members who have paid to visit
the gardens. Its also a nice place to just stop in for a quiet lunch. (we sell
free range eggs too!)
Thanks so much for your support.
