Enquiring at the local Council office I was advised that any park spot unless sign posted otherwise or close to a camping ground and not inconveniencing anyone is suitable for a two night stay for self contained vehicles in the Rodney district area.

The parking shown above is off Sunburst Drive, take Tamatea Road 1st left before Snells Beach Road and the parking shown below is at the bottom of Snells Beach Road

A very nice nearly on the beach park place, toilets, easy access wharf for fishing and a great cafe right on the door step. 

An easy walk up the hill to a tree lines park that affords a great view over the harbour.

Note that the taps all carry a 'not suitable for drinking' notice.

This is a great looking stop over not too distant from the Port Albert foreshore, a great outlook and plenty of walking tracks in the immediate vicinity.

Parking all sizes, showers, water, dump station, power and dogs OK

This park is high on the hill and will be open to most winds (so keep your passport in your pocket) however the view and peace make it at least worth one visit.

Good parking and toilets with an up hilly driveway from the main road.
